Youthnet is excited to announce a major expansion of our Caregiver Support Program!
Since January 1, 2025, Youthnet has proudly been providing Caregiver Support Services in Snohomish County, helping caregivers of children placed by the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) access personalized supports that strengthen stability, well-being, and caregiver confidence.
Now, Youthnet has been awarded three new catchment areas under the Washington State
Caregiver Supports Project. This means even more caregivers and families across Western Washington will have access to the comprehensive services Youthnet offers.
What’s New:
Youthnet will begin serving caregivers in the Pacific Mountain catchment area starting February 1, 2026.
This region includes the following counties:
● Grays Harbor
● Lewis
● Mason
● Pacific
● Thurston
Services in the Pacific Mountain area will include the same personalized, strength-based
support that caregivers in Snohomish County have experienced, including coordination of
resources, crisis support, transition planning, and collaborative Caregiver Support Plans tailored to each family’s needs.
Additional Service Rollout
In addition to Pacific Mountain, Youthnet is honored to begin serving these catchment areas later this year:
● Northwest Catchment (Island, San Juan, Skagit, Whatcom) - services will begin April 1,
2026
● Olympic Catchment (Clallam, Jefferson, Kitsap) - services will begin July 1, 2026
With these expansions, Youthnet’s Caregiver Support Program will be available in 13 Western Washington counties and regions, bringing critical support closer to more caregivers and the children in their care.
What This Means
The Caregiver Support Program is part of the Washington State Caregiver Supports Project, a phased effort to provide placement support services to both licensed and unlicensed caregivers through regionally contracted providers. Support services are tailored to each placement’s needs and focus on pairing caregivers with resources that help children thrive in stable, supported homes.
Youthnet connects with caregivers quickly after a placement and works collaboratively on care planning, resource coordination, advocacy, and ongoing support; helping caregivers feel confident and supported every step of the way.
