About
family preservation services
Family Preservation Services (FPS) is a family-focused, flexible support and counseling program that increases safety for children and families by helping caregivers to implement practical parenting and management strategies in their home and access necessary resources.
Flexible Duration & Accessibility
FPS providers tailor their approach to support and elevate caregivers in reaching their unique goals for the service, while also focusing on improving family dynamics, supporting household management, and facilitating connections to local community resources. With round-the-clock availability and the potential for up to six months of support, FPS providers work with caregivers to identify and connect with needed resources and assistance in their communities.
Collaborative Approach
FPS is facilitated by contracted vendors, like Youthnet, and is accessible statewide, ensuring that families across the region have access to essential support services. By fostering collaboration between service providers and community partners, FPS aims to strengthen family functioning and promote sustainable, long-term solutions.
Service Areas
Youthnet offers this program in King, Skagit, Island, Whatcom and Snohomish Counties by DCYF social worker referral only.
