2026 Solar Ribbon Cutting

Puget Sound Energy and Youthnet invite you to celebrate a sustainable future. 

Youthnet is excited to celebrate the completion of a new 83.3 kilowatt solar array at our Mount Vernon campus.

You are invited to come celebrate with us at our community ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 4 p.m. Installed by Western Solar and supported by a $172,088 Solar Enhanced Incentive from Puget Sound Energy, the project is expected to generate approximately 83,000 kilowatt-hours of clean energy each year.

By helping reduce Youthnet’s ongoing utility costs, this investment allows more resources to be directed toward the children, youth, and families across Western Washington. Join us as we celebrate this important milestone and the community partnerships that made it possible. 

Light refreshments will be provided. Representatives from Youthnet, Puget Sound Energy, and Western Solar will share remarks during the event and will be available for conversation and comment following the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
