Youthnet was thrilled to be presented with a check for $29,000 from the esteemed Dwayne Lane Skagit’s Subaru "Share The Love" event, held winter of 2023. This generous contribution will bolster Youthnet's efforts in providing critical support and resources to children, youth and families in foster care in Washington State.
The "Share The Love" event, an annual initiative by Subaru, aims to give back to the community by supporting four national non-profits as well as one local nonprofit organization each year. Dwayne Lane’s Skagit Subaru donated $100 per car sold during the event, with Subaru donating an additional $250 per car on top of that. This year, Youthnet was chosen as the local beneficiary due to its unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of children, youth and families in foster care.
"We are deeply grateful to Dwayne Lane’s Skagit Subaru for their steadfast support and dedication to making a positive impact in our community," said Carla Arnold, Executive Director at Youthnet. "This funding will enable us to continue expanding our programs and services, ensuring that youth in foster care and families receive the care and support they need to thrive."
The $29,000 grant will be instrumental in funding various initiatives undertaken by Youthnet, including behavioral rehabilitation services, housing assistance and life skills training for youth in foster care, and in-home services and training for families. By addressing the unique needs of each individual, Youthnet strives to empower youth in foster care and their families to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
This partnership between Dwayne Lane’s Skagit Subaru and Youthnet exemplifies the power of collaboration in creating positive change and improving the lives of vulnerable youth. Together, these organizations are making a meaningful difference and paving the way for a brighter future for Skagit County as a whole.
