FYI Case managers connect young people to access the FYI Vouchers through Public Housing Agencies.

Pathway to Self Sufficiency

Under the Foster Youth to Independence initiative, eligible youth receive up to 36 months of rental assistance, with the possibility of a 24-month extension under the Fostering Stable Housing Opportunities (FSHO) amendments. Young people work alongside their FYI housing support specialists to receive individualized services, aiding them in achieving self-sufficiency, addressing not just their immediate housing needs but also their long-term stability and independence.
